Fast Permafrost Thaw Dotting Arctic With Sinkholes

Permafrost is thawing so abruptly in some places, it’s dotting the Arctic with massive sinkholes, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Geoscience. Scientists say the impacts from fast permafrost thaw have been underestimated.
