Methane Fountain Bubbles in Arctic Sea near Siberia as Permafrost Thaws

An international team of scientists found the largest methane fountain ever discovered in the Arctic during an expedition in the East Siberian Sea. The methane bubbles are gas released from thawed permafrost in a warming climate.
